Your ClassCover profile lets you easily manage your availability for bookings. By switching bookings ON or OFF, you can control whether schools can view your profile and request you for casual work.
Bookings OFF: Hides you from the school directory and booking lists, so you won’t receive casual booking requests.
Bookings ON: Your profile is visible, and schools can book you for casual work.
Even with bookings turned off, you can still:
Apply for job opportunities through ClassCover Jobs.
Access ClassCover Learn's online library of Professional Development courses.
Why It's Helpful to Turn Off Bookings
Turning off bookings when you're unavailable helps schools by ensuring they only see active, available casuals. This assists schools in meeting their staffing needs efficiently and supports your school community.
How to Switch Bookings ON and OFF
You can easily control whether schools can send you booking requests through your ClassCover profile.
To update your booking status:
Log in to your ClassCover account.
Go to your My Profile page.
Click on the Bookings tab.
Locate the Turn bookings on or off setting.
Toggle the radio button to your preferred setting:
On – You can receive booking requests from schools.
Off – You will not receive booking requests from schools.
The page will automatically refresh and save your changes.
💡 Tip: If you're taking a break from casual work but want to keep your profile active, simply switch bookings off rather than deleting your account. You can turn bookings back on at any time.
Note: You can update this setting at any time. When you're ready to start receiving booking requests again, simply switch bookings back ON. This will make your profile available for schools to find and book, provided your Visibility setting is enabled in Settings > Account Settings on your ClassCover profile.
Returning to Casual Work? Update Your Availability First
When you’re ready to start accepting bookings again, make sure to switch bookings back ON and update your availability so schools know you’re back and ready to work. This helps ensure you appear in searches and receive booking requests.
