Edit a Booking Before Attendance Confirmation

Update booking details before they are finalised.

You can edit a booking in ClassCover before attendance has been confirmed. This allows you to update key details if plans change, ensuring the relief teacher has the most accurate information.

When you can edit a booking

You can edit a booking:

  • Before Attendance Confirmation is marked as complete

  • While the booking is still active or upcoming


Actions

1. Open your calendar

Select Calendar from the left-hand menu.

2. Locate the booking

Find the booking you want to edit, then select the teacher’s name on the booking card.

The booking details panel will display.

3. Edit the booking

Click Edit booking.

4. Update booking details

Update the required fields, such as:

  • Class covered

  • Teacher covered

  • Reason for absence

  • Booking time (full day, half day, or special)

  • Start and end time

  • Booking hours

  • Preparation notes

  • Attachments or links

If you change the booking hours, you must enter a reason in the Reason for editing booking hours field.

5. Save your changes

Click Update to apply the changes.

6. Click OK

Process Completed.


Result

The booking details have been updated and are reflected in your Calendar.

  • The relief teacher will see the updated information in their app

  • If booking hours have changed, the relief teacher may receive an updated confirmation request


Tip

Review all details before saving to ensure the booking information is accurate and complete.


Note

  • Bookings can only be edited until the Attendance Confirmation is complete

  • After confirmation, booking details can only be changed by a system administrator

  • For multi-day bookings, attendance must be confirmed separately for each day
