You can accept booking requests directly from an SMS or app notification. Responding quickly increases your chances of being confirmed, as many bookings are filled on a first-accept basis.
Audience: Relief Teacher
Actions (App)
1. Open the booking request
When a booking request arrives, tap the push notification on your phone to open it directly. Alternatively, open the ClassCover app.
2. Open the Bookings tab
After the ClassCover app opens, select the Bookings tab.
3. Review the booking details
Review the:
School name
Date
Time
Class
4. Accept the booking
Tap the Accept button if you wish to accept the booking.
5. Receive confirmation
If successful, a confirmation message will display.
Result
You have accepted the booking in the app
Both you and the school are notified
Your Calendar displays the:
School name
Date
Session time
Tip
For faster responses, set your phone notification Banner Style to Persistent so booking alerts remain visible until you respond.
Actions (SMS)
1. Review the booking request
When a booking request arrives, review the details in the request.
2. Reply with the accept code
Reply to the SMS using the Accept (Y) code.
3. Receive confirmation if booked
You will only receive a confirmation SMS if you were successfully booked for the shift.
Result
The school is notified that you accepted the booking request
The booking appears in your Calendar with the booking details
Note
Booking requests may be sent to multiple teachers at the same time
If you are successfully booked, you will receive a confirmation notification or SMS, as well as a confirmation email
If the booking has already been filled, you may not receive a confirmation message
